A family rooted
in the grove.
Mario and his wife came to America from Serracapriola, a small town in Puglia, Italy, with their little son in tow — seeking gainful employment and following the American dream, but never leaving their Italian roots behind. The farm stayed within the family, and only those close to them worked the land while he was away.
Frequent trips back home to tend to the orchard, participate in the harvest and processing, and bring back oil to their expanding family and newfound friends in America color the history of this oil. Mario always had pride in his oil and wanted to do more with it — but his focus was on his family and his work here in America first. He made a wonderful life for his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.
Now, to honor his memory after his passing, the DiCesares are sharing the oil with the world — so that others may come to enjoy it with their own family meals.
